Fantastic Plastic

As part of the agreement signed between the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC) and San José del Parque School from Madrid, our researcher, Dr. Mario Hoyos has conducted a three days research project in the ICTP-CSIC labs to four students of 1º Bachelor’s Degree under the outreach activity entitled "Fantastic Plastic".

During the research activity a luminescent and superhydrophobic multifunctional material was performed. With these activities, framed within the AGAPE Project directed by Dr. Hoyos and funded by the European Marie Curie Research Programme under agreement, FP7-PEOPLE-IIF-2012-GA-327563, the ICTP seeks to encourage young students interest in polymer science.

The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry has awarded a grant to Mario Hoyos for conducting this outreach activity
