Clemente Rodríguez Gómez
PhD. student

Tamara Carpizo Luengo
Student intern

Tamara is a chemistry student from the Alcalá de Henares University (UAH), and she will graduate in 2024/2025. She is currently doing her intern in HEMPOL group working in the preparation of polymer ionogels.

Anthony Javier Pérez Illescas
Master student
Laura Valentina Robaina Osuna
Master student

Laura Valentina was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on May 25, 1999. She began her studies in Chemistry at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) from 2017 to 2019 before transferring to the University of Alcalá (UAH), where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2024. During her academic training, she gained research experience through an internship at the Institute of Structure of Matter (IEM) in the Biophysics of Macromolecular Systems (Biophym) group, focusing on the rheology of biopolymers.
Her Bachelor’s thesis, titled “Synthesis of biobased polymers and copolymers for the preparation of composites with advanced properties”, was supervised by Marta Elena González Mosquera from UAH.
Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Advanced Specialization in Plastics and Rubber, where she is working on her Master’s thesis, titled “Electrolyte gels based on high molecular weight polymers”, under the supervision of Ángela Campo and Marta Elena González Mosquera.
In addition to her academic studies, Laura is employed as a research staff member in the European project SusaNa (Sustainable and Safe Anode-free Na battery). Her work in this project focuses on the development and application of polymer gels for advanced energy storage systems, contributing to the design of safer, more sustainable, and efficient sodium batteries.

Gonzalo Jorquera Sánchez
